Upward Transitions Receives $15,000 Grant from the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation

Upward Transitions was recently awarded a grant of $15,000 from the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation to expand services helping Oklahoma City’s homeless population

“We’re honored to receive this grant from the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation,” said Dana Hope Chism, executive director, Upward Transitions.  “The Zarrow family’s commitment to charitable giving as a way to prevent poverty across the globe is inspiring.”

The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation is a broad-based funding foundation, giving primarily in Tulsa, but also throughout Oklahoma and in Israel.

For nearly 90 years, Upward Transitions has touched the lives of Oklahomans, elevating those in need, stranded or homeless to a position of self-sufficiency.  Upward Transitions offers a wide variety of programs, including financial assistance with rent and utilities and relocation for victims of domestic violence.  Upward Transitions also directs clients to resources that assist with life skills training and education to improve their employment potential.

In addition to its services for homeless Oklahomans, Upward Transitions operates two information booths at Will Rogers World Airport to assist visitors to Oklahoma City. The information boots are staffed 365 days a year by Upward Transitions volunteers.
