Raise a Glass to Ending Generational Poverty

Social Capital OKC and Prairie Artisan Ales join together to support Upward Transitions

Going out on Friday night just became a whole lot more charitable.

Social Capital OKC and Prairie Artisan Ales are joining together to host Pint Night to benefit Upward Transitions. The event is taking place at Social Capital OKC, 517 S. Hudson Ave, Oklahoma City, on Friday, January 17, 2020, starting at 5:00 pm.

For over 90 years, Upward Transitions has touched the lives of Oklahomans in need. Upward Transitions serves families and individuals who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or stranded by providing case management and stabilizing resources to help meet basic social needs.

Upward Transitions is so appreciative to Social Capital OKC and Prairie Artisan Ales OKC for hosting Pint Night! Micah James, Director of Development and Public Relations shared, “We are so grateful to the teams at Social Capital and Prairie Ales for making this event so fun and community-centered. It is always nice to get together with friends for a good cause.”

Wade Pierce, Oklahoma City Prairie Representative, remarked, “We love working with our beer-lovin’ friends at Social Capital on any event, but it’s especially meaningful and fun when we can work together to benefit the people in our community. Prairie tries to make cool beer so that we can do cool things — including taking this awesome opportunity to be able to provide so many unique beers for an event supporting the work of Upward Transitions and the good they do for our city. Cheers!”

Come and get a one-of-a-kind pint glass for $8 with the logos of Social Capital, Prairie Artisan Ales, and Upward Transitions. 100% of the sale of the glasses will benefit Upward Transitions! $1 for each Prairie pour will also benefit Upward Transitions. Social Capital, Prairie Artisan Ales, and Upward Transitions hope that this will be a night of community, fun, and fundraising for the mission of ending generational poverty.

Social Capital is an immeasurable stock of the social interaction that exists within a community. We aim to increase this asset in our beloved city by providing a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere, an extensive list of craft beer, specialty cocktails, and wine, and two restaurants serving a wide variety of delicious fare. Our menu features 120 draft beers, a full wine and cocktail list, street tacos, salads, charcuterie, and house-made ice cream. For more information go to, https://www.socialcapitalokc.com/.

Prairie Artisan Ales is small third wave brewery from Oklahoma. Since our founding in 2012, we have brought a unique perspective to brewing. Sometimes that means big bold barrel aged stouts and other times it means super crisp and funky farmhouse ales. Every beer we brew is wrapped in unique, expressive, and interesting art. The experience is unlike any other you can find in beer. For more information, go to https://prairieales.com/.
