Welcome to the Travelers Aid and Homeless Assitance Center dba Upward Transitions website. Upward Transitions, our operating name, reflects the wide variety of services that we provide above an beyond assisting stranded travelers.
Upward Transitions is a private nonprofit agency founded in 1925 and incorporated in 1927. Its primary source of funding is from United Way of Central Oklahoma with additional funds from Federal, State and City grants, an Annual Board Fund Raiser, Foundations and private contributions.
Upward Transitions serves those who are homeless and impoverished by providing case management and stabilizing resources to meet basic social needs. The ultimate goal is to assist individuals and families to reach their potential with the ability to support themselves and contribute back to their community.
Upward Transitions is committed to community development and advocacy for those who are poor and homeless.
