Periann Pulliam – Chief Operations Officer

Periann has been with Upward Transitions since 2009.  She is responsible the daily operations of the organization.  Prior to her position as Chief Operations Officer, she managed Upward Transitions’ Travelers Aid Information Booth Program at Will Rogers World Airport for 6 years.  Periann serves on the Board of Directors and Professional Council for Travelers Aid International. She holds Oklahoma Center For Nonprofits’ Standards for Excellence and Nonprofit Management Certifications.

Periann has over 30 years experience in business management and earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University.

Terri

Terri Womack – Director of Community Outreach Program

Terri has been with Upward Transitions since 1997.  She’s responsible for overseeing homeless and homeless prevention services, the Emergency Solutions Grant, the Emergency Food and Shelter Grant and the Oklahoma County Emergency Utility Assistance Program.

Terri earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.

 

 

 

 

Crystal Levine– Volunteer Coordinator

Crystal joined Upward Transitions in 2017.  She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Volunteer Program at Will Rogers World Airport.  The airport volunteers staff the two information booths 365 days a year and provide information and assistance to the traveling public and visitors to Oklahoma City. Crystal is a Certified Tourism Ambassador.

Prior to her position at Upward Transitions, Crystal developed her management skills and resourcefulness through her 14 years as a restaurant general manager. Over the past four years, she refined her supervisory, leadership, and communication abilities as a volunteer office administration coach and assistant teacher at a local church.

Joelle

Joelle Sanders – Case Manager

Joelle has been with Upward Transitions since 2013.  She is responsible for working with families and individuals who are homeless or on the verge becoming homeless to promote self-sufficiency.  Joelle works with clients, matching them with services through our Community Outreach Program, including travel assistance, job search assistance, and help with obtaining birth certificates and state IDs.

Joelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Fort Hays State University.

 

Alicia Terry – Case Manager

Alicia has been with Upward Transitions since March 2016.  She is responsible for working with families and individuals who are homeless or on the verge becoming homeless to promote self-sufficiency.  Alicia works with clients, matching them with services through our Community Outreach Program, including travel assistance, job search assistance, and help with obtaining birth certificates and state IDs.

Previously, Alicia was a Child Support Specialist for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for 2 years.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology – Minor: Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Studies from Oklahoma City University.

 

 

 

Scott Love – Case Manager

Scott rejoined the Upward Transitions’ staff in June 2016. He is responsible for working with families and seniors who are homeless or on the verge becoming homeless to promote self-sufficiency.  Scott works with clients to prevent homelessness or rehouse those who are homeless through assistance with rent and utilities.  Scott also works with families on a medium term basis through our Emergency Solutions Grant Program.

Scott’s experience includes Other Options where he was a case manager for the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS program for 4 years. Prior to this position, Scott was a case manager for Upward Transitions’ Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program for 2+ years and a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist/Referral Screener and Oklahoma Kid’s CareNet Program Supervisor at NorthCare for 5 years.

Scott has bachelor’s degree in Psychology from William Jewell College and a master’s degree in Divinity from Texas Christian University.

Tamara

Tamara Wood – Executive Assistant

Tamara has been with Upward Transitions since 2009. She’s responsible for providing administrative support to the Upward Transitions staff, managing the office equipment and supplies, coordinating various accounting duties and assisting with donor relations. She is also instrumental in orchestrating our fundraisers.

Jennifer Birdine – Receptionist

Jennifer joined Upward Transitions in 2017. She’s responsible for answering the phone, greeting clients, assisting in the determination of services needed by each client and maintaining client files.
